Solar and Alternative energy ...

A New Dimension ...

CWC Gulf is supporting a project being developed by "Solasystems" in Tenerife Spain. Solasystems, a British Company and CWC Gulf client, has developed and tested a new ultra low cost solar hot water heating system.

CWC Gulf established a representative office in Tenerife during 2003 where the test trials are currently being conducted. If you are interested in learning more about this technology, the project or renewable energy in general then please contact us here.

The Solasystems Project ...

Solasystems Ltd was formed to introduce a new range of mass-produced low cost domestic solar hot water heaters to areas of the world where there is an abundance of year round sunshine.

These new and innovative products have been developed to address the increasing worldwide problem of diminishing energy supplies, the rising costs associated with the increased worldwide demand for energy resources and the environmental concerns due to the increased levels of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere that cause global warming.

Domestic hot water accounts for about 40% of the overall worldwide household demand for energy, whether it is electric, gas or solid fuel or any combination of them.

Up until the present time domestic solar hot water heaters have been available only to those wealthy enough to afford them and who aren’t worried whether they will save them money. The cost of a domestic solar water heater for an average household can cost between $3500 and $6000 per household. This effectively means that such an investment would never result in any savings whatsoever for the average household and helps explain why so few have actually been sold.

The Solasystems devices are aimed primarily at markets with abundant sunshine such as the southern Mediterranean countries, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, Australia, South America and the sunshine States of the USA where efficiency is less important than the cost of the device. These areas do not need the higher efficiency, expensive, solar water heaters referred to above. What is needed is a low cost easy to install domestic device suitable for households of 4 to 5 people. Solasystems will answer this requirement by applying a conventional low cost mass production manufacturing process in a new and innovative way in combination with using three relatively new and inexpensive hi-tech products.

Introducing The Solasystems Suntap

Now available for the first time ..
Totally affordable solar water heating
& constant hot water for free

Designed specifically for warmer climates by a team assisted by a leading UK University Department of Technology the design utilizes the latest automated manufacturing processes in combination with three high tech high quality components.

From the corrosion resistant stainless steel water tank itself to the weatherproof polypropylene solar collector all components are chosen for their effectiveness and long life.

Retailing for under (Euro) €900.00 the Suntap solar water heater is up to three times lower cost than any other solar water heater currently available.

Solasystems has been formed to introduce a new generation of low cost solar devices specific to areas in the world that have an abundance of sunshine.

Price savings have been achieved by using modern mass production techniques. Components are manufactured from the most durable and energy effective materials available in the World and include:-

• Stainless steel tank
• All polypropylene reflector body
• Teflon coated solar grade cover
• Heavy duty reflective mirror surface

This out of the box kit device can be assembled, installed and connected in minutes. Exposed to four hours of sunshine it will produce constant water too hot to handle.

Wind Energy

Some European countries have had Wind Turbines in operation for over 20 years. Wind Energy production costs in Europe are now competing with coal fired power stations. Since 1990 the Wind Energy Industry has been the fastest growing sector of the power generation industry and continues to be so.

Large scale Wind Turbines can be installed for about $2.00 per watt or about two million dollars per megawatt. A typical Wind Farm will use about 1% of the area where it is constructed leaving the rest for normal farming or grazing practices. Wind Turbines have a designed working life of 20 to 25 years and require little maintenance.

Wind Turbines now present totally efficient, safe, clean and proven hi technology. To date there has been no actual recorded injury to any member of the public.

CWC Gulf and Solasystems are working together on a number of renewable energy projects involving:-
